Community Discount Days

On our Community Discount Days, general admission is free. Includes the Waters of the World, Amazon Rising, and the Caribbean Reef. Packages including Wild Reef, Polar Play Zone and Oceanarium are available at a discounted rate. Shedd's 52 discount days a year take advantage of civic and school holidays to make family visits more convenient.


Our Monday and Tuesday Community Discount Days in 2010 are:

Jan. 4, 5, 11,12, 25 and 26;
Feb. 1, 2, 8, 9, 22 and 23;
Sept. 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28;
Oct. 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25 and 26; and
Nov. 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30.



And take advantage of our Community Discount Weeks:

Jan. 16–21; Feb. 15–19; and June 14–18.

A Special Place in Our Hearts

We will always have a special place in our hearts for Miss Phoebe Gardner. After 16 years full of joy Phoebe passed away yesterday afternoon at the Vet with her Mom by her side. She is now in a place filled with couches and nap times. We loved seeing Phoebe for daycare every day and will always keep a place on her favorite couch just for her!

Phoebe was always good for a chuckle during her holiday photos, she just loved the attention!

Her spunky attitude was the best and the other pups thought so too!

Phoebe, we know you have the best couch ever! Give us a bark every once in awhile to let us know how you're doing!

Wanna see your pup on TV!?

Check this out!  WCIU was here to film the Shiba Inu meet up we held on January 9th.  You can see it on channel 26 on Tuesday January 12th between 6am and 9am.  It will run twice during that time period.
